George Clooney Claims Marriage to Wife Amal Is Still Argument-Free

George Clooney reiterates that he and his wife, Amal Clooney, lead an argument-free marriage. Clooney has stated in multiple interviews, including on the December 3 episode of the New Heights podcast, that he and Amal have “never had an argument.” The 64-year-old actor echoed the same sentiments in a new interview with the LA Times.

George Clooney says this about his and wife Amal’s argument-free married life

George Clooney stands by his previous claim that he and his wife Amal “never had an argument.” The 64-year-old actor discussed this in an interview with the LA Times to promote his recent film Jay Kelly. The interviewer asked, “I saw an interview where you said — and I guess this is well-known — that you’ve never had a fight with your wife.” Clooney replied without hesitation, “That’s true.”

The interviewer confessed they have been married for 30 years and find Clooney’s claim “hard to believe.” Instead, the Oceans star asked, “Well, how old were you when you got married?” The interviewer replied, “I was 32.”

Clooney explained that age makes the difference. He revealed he was 52 years old when he married Amal and that he had no “intention of getting married again.” He added that he fell “madly in love” with Amal and they had kids. “Everything changed because I met this incredible person,” he added.

Furthermore, Clooney reasoned, “I’m in a much different place in life. I’m much more secure.” Additionally, he also quipped, “I am also less in the mood to win arguments. When you’re young, you’re trying to win everything.”

The interviewer teased the Jay Kelly star by asking if he was “okay conceding now.” To which the actor joked, “I’m not conceding. But nice try. You’re going to get me in trouble with my wife.” The 64-year-old actor has faithfully maintained his claim that he and Amal have never fought. Previously, the actor shared this in an interview with PEOPLE magazine in 2020.

At the time, he gushed over his wife, saying, “I feel very lucky in so many ways to have met her. We haven’t ever had an argument. You know, everybody’s been slammed together because of the coronavirus, and a lot of friends’ relationships have been tested. For us, it’s been really easy.”
