Travis Kelce Says He’ll Give ‘Everything’ He’s Got For Final Matches

Travis Kelce declares he will give “everything” he’s got for the final matches. For those unversed, the Chargers handed the Chiefs a crushing 16-13 defeat on December 14, bidding adieu to their playoff dreams. Notably, for the first time in 10 seasons, Kelce has missed the playoffs.

Travis Kelce speaks up about final matches

Travis Kelce is willing to give his all for the final three matches of this NFL season. The 36-year-old told reporters after Friday’s practice that he will give “everything I got” for the final three games.

Kelce stated, “It’s just integrity, man. I signed up to be a Chief, and I love doing what I do. I know I’ve been dreaming of being in these moments and playing for an NFL team since I was a kid. Getting back to that will give you more motivation than you could ever need. That’s just how you need to go about work, whether you’re in the [playoff] race or not.”

He also added that he is going to make sure “these guys know I’m out there giving them everything I got” (via NFL).

The report also stated that these last few games might be Kelce’s last with the Chiefs or in the NFL itself. Rumors regarding Kelce’s impending retirement have been doing the rounds in the media for quite some time. If Kelce goes ahead with his retirement plans, he will end his 13-season NFL career on a high note as the Chiefs’ celebrated tight end.

However, the 36-year-old chose not to address his impending retirement. He revealed he would “rather just keep the focus on this team, right now.” Kelce stated that he will only discuss his impending retirement with the Chiefs’ bosses.

He remarked, “All the conversations that I have with the team moving forward will be with them. It’s a unique time in my life. I’ve got three games left. Unfortunately, I’ve got three games left and I know when the season ends. Just trying to make sure everybody here knows that I’m focused on trying to win games [in] these last three games.”
