What happens in the Way of the Warrior Kid trailer?

The trailer opens with Jake, played by Chris Pratt, being struck by a missile while riding in a helicopter with his team. It then shows Sarah telling her son, Marc, that Uncle Jake will stay with them for the summer while he recovers.

Marc later tells Jake about the bullying he faces at school, explaining how other kids constantly mock him. He asks his uncle to teach him how to fight, but Jake responds, “Well, fighting people isn’t the answer. Remember, we don’t have time for this.” Instead of teaching Marc to fight, Jake uses his military experience to train him in discipline, physical strength, and resilience.

As the training continues, Marc gradually grows stronger both mentally and physically under his uncle’s guidance.

The film stars Chris Pratt, Jude Hill, and Linda Cardellini. Levi McConaughey, Ava Torres, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell, Parker Young, Timothy Flood, and Arlan Ruf appear in supporting roles.

McG directs the film, from a screenplay by Will Staples. He also serves as a producer alongside Chris Pratt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bruce Wayne Gillies, Don Granger, Mary Viola, Ben Everard, and Jocko Willink.

Way of the Warrior Kid has a runtime of 106 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating. The film will premiere on Apple TV on November 25, 2026.
