What to know about Chris Pratt’s upcoming Apple TV movie
Apple TV’s upcoming movie is directed by McG, best known for works like Charlie’s Angels and Terminator Salvation. The screenplay was penned by Will Staples.
The movie’s official description reads, “Middle school has been a nightmare for Marc, a good kid who’s bullied by his classmates and feels like he’s behind in everything, from academics to P.E. to just making friends. That changes when his injured Uncle Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL, comes to spend the summer and recuperate with Marc and his mom, Sarah. To help Marc defend himself, Jake devises an ambitious program he calls ‘Operation Warrior Kid’ based on his SEAL training. Instead of teaching his nephew how to fight, Jake shows Marc what real courage is, facing down his own demons along the way.”
In the coming-of-age feature, Pratt plays Jake, Cardellini plays Sarah, and Hill plays Marc. The ensemble also includes Levi McConaughey, Delon de Metz, Chris Wylde, Ava Torres, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell, and Parker Young. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, McG, Mary Viola, Pratt, Ben Everard, Jocko Willink, and Bruce Wayne Gillies serve as producers. Executive producers include Will Staples, Steven Bello, and Cliff Lanning.
