New Man of Tomorrow Rumor Points to Sinqua Walls as Future DCU Threat

A new rumor may have revealed more about Sinqua Walls‘ mystery role in Man of Tomorrow. The Blackening actor joined James Gunn‘s Superman sequel in May, but DC Studios hasn’t confirmed who he will play.

According to @ApocHorseman, Walls’ appearance could involve a confrontation-heavy part in the movie. On X, the scooper wrote, “Been saying that Sinqua is a cameo villain in Man of Tomorrow. It’s supposedly a very physical role.”

The scooper also shared their hope that Walls could play Mongul. However, that remains speculation and does not confirm his character.

How the rumored Sinqua Walls role could connect to future DCU plans

The rumor goes beyond Walls’ reported appearance in Man of Tomorrow. The same scooper claimed his character could help set up another DCU movie. They wrote, “Take this part with a grain of salt, but I heard he may set up a future film whether it’s Superman 3 or something else.”

If accurate, that could make Walls’ reported cameo an early introduction to a character with a larger role later. The rumor does not confirm which project could follow or whether Walls would return.

Mongul is only one possible identity the scooper suggested. DC Studios has not confirmed that character or any plans for Walls. James Gunn has also said the story will feature a threat much bigger than Superman and Lex Luthor. The movie will give Lex a major role alongside Superman.

Meanwhile, Man of Tomorrow has a large returning cast. David Corenswet will play Superman, with Nicholas Hoult returning as Lex Luthor. Lars Eidinger will make his DCU debut as Brainiac. Gunn has now wrapped principal photography after 93 shooting days. The film is moving into post-production ahead of its 2027 release.

Man of Tomorrow has finished filming and is scheduled to reach theaters on July 9, 2027. Until DC Studios confirms more, Walls’ character stays a mystery.
