New Looney Tunes Movie Releasing in 2026 After Coyote vs. Acme, Watch Teaser Trailer

A brand-new Looney Tunes movie is coming in 2026, in addition to the highly anticipated Coyote vs. Acme. Warner Bros. has revealed the first teaser trailer for the upcoming animated film based on the iconic series.

What do we know about the new Looney Tunes movie?

Warner Bros.’ official X account shared the first-look teaser trailer for the Looney Tunes movie titled Daffy Season. It will be an all-new short and will premiere theatrically with the upcoming animated film The Cat in the Hat, set to arrive on November 6, 2026.

For years, the Looney Tunes series’ animated shorts have entertained fans with characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig. Their popularity resulted in multiple TV shows, theme parks, and video games as well, attracting new fans over time.

Now, the beloved characters will make a comeback with Daffy Season. The Looney Tunes movie short initially premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

The film’s main premise will focus on what happens when the rabbit season turns into duck season. This concept was originally introduced in Chuck Jones’ 1951 classic short, titled Rabbit Fire. But in the upcoming short, Daffy will find no one after entering the woods. That’s because the entire squad, including Elmer Fudd, will be busy watching soccer.

President and CCO of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, Bill Damaschke, expressed his excitement over Daffy Season. He wanted to have a theatrical short based on Looney Tunes for a very long time.

Damaschke said, “We had these wonderful characters, and there’s a lot of it done. Like, there’s great stuff done all the time. But it’s been a really long time since they’ve been in like a really premium format, not relying on human actors. And I thought that we have to get back to that. We have to get back to the DNA of it,” during an interaction with TheWrap.

For Daffy Season, Damaschke formed a group of filmmakers, including Todd Wilderman and Hamish Grieve, to discuss the plot and other details.

Daffy Season will mark the first short attached to a theatrical release since 2014, when Daffy’s Rhapsody was attached to Journey 2: The Mysterious Land.
