Peter Dinklage joins The Furious director Kenji Tanigaki’s next movie cast. The Furious was released earlier in June to positive reviews and is hailed as one of the year’s best action movies.
What do we know about Peter Dinklage’s new action movie?
Dinklage’s next film, directed by Kenji Tanigaki, will be called The Reckoner. It’s also unexpectedly connected to John Wick, as Derek Kolstad is writing it. The writer penned the first three John Wick movies featuring Keanu Reeves’ Baba Yaga. The film will be produced by Lionsgate and AGBO, the Russo brothers’ production company.
Dinklage shot to fame with his portrayal of Tyrion Lannister in the eight seasons of Game of Thrones. Since the show’s conclusion, he has appeared in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Wicked, Dexter: Resurrection, and more. The actor will also star in the second season of Alien: Earth.
The Furious has grossed over $31 million worldwide. The film faced stiff competition from Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day and was praised by DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn.

Kolstad and Dinklage will also produce the film. The Reckoner is being produced by Angela Russo-Otstot, Michael Disco, Kassee Whiting, and David Ginsberg for Estuary Films. The Russos will executive produce the film. James Myers and Pavan Kalidindi are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
The Reckoner currently doesn’t have an announced release date.
