Eminem And Justin Bieber Songs Are Apparently Popular With Psychopaths

I have never been happier with my notion that the majority of Justin Bieber’s music is pure dog shit.

According to Stuff, a psychology professor at NYU teamed up with a recent graduate to find out what music the majority of psychopaths are listening to these days, and unlike those crazy assholes in the movies like Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs and Alex in A Clockwork Orange who listened to classical music, pretty much the exact opposite holds true today, as Justin Bieber and Eminem tunes are amongst those near the top of the list of psychopaths’ favorite jams.

Professor Pascal Wallisch and Nicole Leal “wanted to find out if a preference for certain musical genres is correlated with psychopathy, a personality disorder characterised by manipulativeness and a lack of empathy,” so they issued a questionnaire to more than 190 NYU psychology students that rated their level of psychopathy by asking them to rate statements such as “For me what’s right is whatever I can get away with” and “Love is overrated.”

The end result? You guessed it: People who like Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” are fucking nuts. The Biebs was joined on the crazy list by Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” and of course, Blackstreet’s “No Diggity.”

Meanwhile, if you like “Money for Nothing” by Dire Straits, it means that you’re either as sane as they get, or you’ve been playing the game very wisely over the years, you cheeky bastard.
