Mutilated Body Washes Up On Beach In Rio Where They’re Supposed To Play Olympic Volleyball

Between the Zika virus, water pollution, a high crime rate and now a mutilated body washing ashore on the same beach where men and women will be playing beach volleyball as part of the Summer Olympics just 36 days from now, anybody still excited about making the trip to Rio de Janeiro for the Games might be teetering on the wrong side of the fine line that separates common sense from insanity.

Seriously, here is a picture of a dude looking down at something on the beach near the Olympics beach volleyball stadium, and the reason why he’s looking down at the ground is because it’s not everyday that you walk past human body parts:

On top of the severe crime and pollution and now mutilated bodies, the governor of the state of Rio de Janeiro announced earlier this week that the Olympics might wind up being a “big failure” because the state is broke. Plus, with political corruption and instability floating in the air as suspended Brazilian President Rousseff heads to trial, it’s safe to say that these “Games” are going to be anything but.
