iPhone 6 Release Date Will Likely Be September 19th

Apple is set to unveil its iPhone 6 on September 9th, but reports have emerged that indicate the tech giant will release the new smartphone to the general public on September 19th.

As the Daily Mail notes, traditionally Apple has opted to sell each new iteration of the iPhone 10 days following their respective reveals, with the ‘paper suggesting that this will be the case for the iPhone 6.

While we wouldn’t typically consider the Daily Mail’s “sources” to be reliable by any stretch of the imagination, this is certainly a worthwhile point and one we can imagine will ring true come Apple’s presentation on the 9th.

Of course, some people are already queuing outside Apple stores in order to be the first to get their hands on the new phone and enjoy their 15 minutes of fame, like that guy who was photographed after being first in line to pick up Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Yeah, that guy.

The iPhone 6’s reveal is also expected to coincide with Apple’s announcement of its iWatch, the company’s heavily discussed first venture into wearable tech, along with a new version of the iPad. Apple has yet to confirm what it has up its sleeve on September 9th, but considering it is now fighting for dominance in both the hardware and software market due to Android’s steady ascension, we should be prepared for something big.
