So Walmart Actually Had A Racial Slur Up On Their Website

Walmart needs to get it together and fast.

Is Walmart a garbage dump? Yes. Do they have everything you’re looking for? Yes. Do you still go to Walmart even though it’s a dump? Honestly? Yes. But it’s not hard to see that the giant store isn’t very bright, as they continue to find their store name in negative stories. And this is the latest one.

A Twitter user took it to social media to share a product description he found on the Walmart website. A product description for a Jagazi Natural’s Full Cap Weaving Net. Within the description the n-word is used and the color is described as “n-word brown.” But of course it’s spelled out completely.

Walmart of course rushed to apologize. Here’s what spokesperson Danit Marquardt had to say:

“We are very sorry and appalled that this third party seller listed their item with this description on our online marketplace. It is a clear violation of our policy, and has been removed, and we are investigating the seller to determine how this could have happened.”

But there’s an explanation for all this according to Jagazi Naturals owner Chizo Onuh, who told the NY Daily News that her “products have been copied and resold by Amazon and Walmart third-party sellers before.”

And that may be the case because the Twitter user also shared the same product on Amazon, and this one obviously didn’t have the n-word.

I just want to know how a billion dollar company allows this description to land on their website? Isn’t there a process to approve this before they show up on a site for millions of people to read?

Come on, Walmart, it’s not that difficult.
