Overweight Woman Loses Weight, Now Rejecting Dates From Dude Who Turned Her Down Before

This dude clearly has no shame, as he just came back once this gal started losing weight.
Whatever the motivation is, people everywhere are losing weight and trying to get healthy. The same can be said of the woman who lost weight after being dumped during a romantic vacation, and you can say the same thing about the Australian woman who shed some weight after an ex called her fat. But now we have to talk about 25-year-old Indianapolis woman Rachel Heffner.
Heffner, who once weighed 285 pounds, found herself drinking up to four large bottles of soda a day, and wasn’t too happy when her crush rejected her a while back because of her weight. And ever since that moment, Heffner decided to lose weight, although now she has no interest in dating this dude.
Here’s what Heffner had to say.
“My initial motivation was to prove people wrong. In college I was rejected by a boy and I wanted to show him that he’d made a mistake. I liked him and he didn’t like me, he made it known it was because of the way that I looked and that he wasn’t attracted to me because I was heavier.”
Well, damn, the dude even came out and said that was the reason why. Well of course, Heffner hit the gym and started losing weight, and this dude came around again, but this time around Heffner didn’t want to date him. In the words of Michael Scott, “My oh my, how the turntables.”
“I also told him that he was the reason I started losing weight, which really shocked him and he apologized for what he said when we were younger. But I’m glad he rejected me, I actually thanked him for it, as he was the reason I was able to get to the size I am today, and there’s no point holding grudges.”
Due to tragedy (Heffner’s mother died due to cancer), Heffner found solace in food, as she found herself with a body mass index of 50 at age 20 — the highest level of obesity.
But years later, Heffer continues to lose weight:
“At first my body missed the sugar, I had to gradually reduce it by switching to Gatorade before going to water. I also started making meals myself instead of eating out and I cut my portions in half. It was hard at first, whenever I was hungry I would snack on fruits or vegetables and before eating I’d drink a glass of water to help fill me up more.”
All in all Heffer has lost 140 pounds, but of course it comes with a price, as Heffner is looking to raise 15K in order to get an excess skin removal surgery.
Well, Heffner still looks great, so we wish her the best on her journey.
