The Carling Beer Button Delivers Booze Directly To Your Fridge

Carling has taken its cues from Amazon with its Carling Beer Button, a brand new gadget that will see beer being delivered to your home with one press of a button.

Carling has collaborated with supermarkets Waitrose, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Tesco in order to bring their their booze-soaked vision to life, with it allowing users to order a fresh crate of Carling directly from their fridge whenever they see fit.

The system works much in the same way as Amazon Dash, a service recently debuted in the UK that allows users to order various household products using brand-specific buttons, though introduces a dedicated smartphone app that also allows users to tweak their orders. The Carling Beer Buttons are currently receiving a trial run, though is expected to be made available throughout the UK in the near future.

Speaking about the new button, Carling’s Alpesh Mistry said: “Although it may seem too good to be true for some Carling fans, the Carling Button is not a gimmick but is already up and running as a fully functional product.

“It is a scalable solution, that we see having a direct impact on how our consumers shop online and purchase Carling.”

It’s unclear at the time of this writing how Carling plans to distribute its Beer Buttons. Amazon Dash requires a one-off payment of £4.99 for each button, with the price of the first item the user orders from each button being deducted from this initial cost. Carling hasn’t confirmed whether or not the company will charge users for the button, or if it will be made available with a crate of the beer.
