San Diego Comic-Con Parking Moves To Lottery System

The annual San Diego Comic-Con International is already one of the most difficult conventions to get into, thanks to high demand for tickets and an inconsistent lottery system to buy tickets online. Now even the Comic-Con parking situation is becoming a lottery.

The Unofficial SDCC Blog is reporting that Ace Parking is moving to a lottery system for the Convention Center parking and six other nearby parking lots Hilton Garage, Petco Lots, Padres Parkade, Diamond View Tower, Horton Plaza and Gaslamp City Square.

To get a shot at a relatively close space to park at Comic-Con, attendees will need to e-mail cci2015@aceparking.com before April 12. On April 15, there will be random drawing to determine who gets a parking spot and where. The lone bright spot is that the lottery system will guarantee the chosen fans a parking space for the entire convention. However, fans will have to purchase the Ace Parking permit or else they will forfeit the spot.

After the parking lottery ends, Ace Parking will give the general public the opportunity to purchase any Comic-Con parking permits that go unclaimed.
