When I read the title of this video I envisaged Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘Celebrities Read Mean Tweets’ segment, only with porn stars instead of Gary Oldman and Justin Bieber. Then Tabitha Stevens recited a particularly abhorrent piece hate mail she had received, which begins “it doesn’t take any ability to do what you do. You are fucking disgusting. God hates you, and everybody hates you,” and I swiftly realized that this wasn’t going to be the laugh-a-minute video clip I had hoped for.

Anyone even remotely in the public eye gets a tough time on the internet, but for porn stars the type of hate mail they receive appears to be particularly disturbing and, in many cases, obscenely racist.
Why anyone would want to turn porn, the only entertainment medium that has remained consistently enjoyable, and that hasn’t experienced any dip in quality from the full-pubed bonking of the ’70s through to the high-def shagging of the digital age, into a forum for hateful vitriol is beyond me, but people are weird and cruel so therefore these women are forced to endure disgusting comments made by individuals dragged from the cesspits of the web.
