Comic-Con 2014: Ant-Man – Director Peyton Reed Interview

CraveOnline was fortunate enough to speak for a couple minutes with the director of the upcoming Ant-Man, Peyton Reed. It’s a new foray into the Marvel universe’s mythology and vault of characters, and Mr. Reed implies that he couldn’t be happier working with the [Marvel] studio and all the great talent they bring his way. He waxes lyrical about the positives of having Marvel Studios at his back and supporting him and his creative vision.

For those of you who weren’t big into Ant-Man comics as a child or don’t know much about this film, here’s an IMDB plot summary for your benefit:

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Peyton Reed, an American director and producer from North Carolina, is best known for Bring It On, Yes Man, and The Break-Up. He attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His prior work has led him into small acting gigs, writing some of his own songs for soundtracks, and producing several music videos.
