A lot of people are talking about iZombie, an upcoming, high-concept procedural TV drama that focuses upon the story of zombie Liv, who for all intents and purposes looks like a normal young woman, as she deals with being an unfortunate victim of a zombie bite, therefore transforming into a member of the walking dead herself.

During Comic-Con, we got the chance to talk to the show’s executive producer Diane Ruggiero about what drew her to the series, and how the idea of adding procedural crime drama elements to the show came about. She also discusses the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Veronica Mars comparisons, along with the supernatural elements of the show.
