Comic-Con 2014: iZombie – Interview with Robert Buckley

As part of CraveOnline’s extensive Comic-Con 2014 coverage, we’ve been getting the lo-down on one of the intriguing upcoming TV dramas, iZombie. Focusing upon a “functioning” zombie as she balances her day-to-day life with having to munch on brains in the name of self-preservation, iZombie is taking the concept of the comic book it is based upon and injecting a procedural twist.

We caught up with actor Robert Buckley at the San Diego Convention Center to ask him about his role on the show, in which he’ll be portraying the living dead protagonist Liv’s ex-fiancee Major Lilywhite, who’s still in love with her despite not knowing about her dark side and penchant for devouring human brains.

Robert gives us an insight into what we can expect to see in the pilot episode of the show, and the impact his character will have.. He also reveals to us his initial disappointment in discovering that Major was his character’s name, and not indicative of his profession, with Major Lilywhite actually being a social worker.
