With all due respect to Fight Club, if you could fight as one real-world fighter in the kick-ass fighting video game to end all kick-ass fighting games, who would it be?
The answer is simple. And at the risk of pissing some of you off, it should be simple for everyone.
Bruce Lee. Bruce…f***in’…Lee.
So big props to Electronic Arts. The most celebrated martial artist ever will soon be a playable character in their upcoming EA Sports UFC.
As reported by Crave gaming site Game Revolution, the game’s creative director Brian Hayes said including the Enter the Dragon star in the company’s first of what they hope will be several UFC games was always part of their vision.
“The team is very excited and tremendously honored to have the privilege of bringing Bruce Lee to life in our game. We’ve been working closely with the Bruce Lee team to ensure we represent the legend with as much visual and gameplay fidelity as possible.”
If the thought of laying a one-inch punch on some unsuspecting loser sends waves of geek-gasms through your controller-gripping fingers, then be ready to pick up EA Sports UFC when it lands on store shelves June 17 for Xbox One and PS4.
