Booze Squibs: Drink to Irish Land of ‘Milk & Honey’

This Booze Squib plays up more stereotypes than a Lucky Charms commercial.

It’s St. Patrick’s Day, and that means we all take a moment to ponder the righteousness granted to men of faith, the brave dedication of distant missionaries and the sacrifices of the saints.

No, it isn’t. It’s an excuse to extend Happy Hour and drink (responsibly and with car keys nowhere to be found) until you’re seeing dead leprechauns with the faces of James Joyce and Samuel Beckett.

What better way to kick off your festive Irish binge than with a bit of that very Irish liqueur, Baileys, and this recipe for an Irish Milk & Honey shot:

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon
  • 1/2 oz. Bushmills Irish Whiskey
  • Whipped Cream and Honey for Garnish

Note: The Baileys isn’t necessarily the most butch of ingredients, but it still tastes good. And, the Bushmills ratchets up the manliness.

Preparation: Combine Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon and Bushmills Irish Whiskey in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a shot glass rimmed with honey. Top with whipped cream.

Ideal Serving Glass: Standard shot glass yielding one drink. (No drink contains more than .06 fl oz of alcohol.)
