Chef Boasts About ‘Spiking Vegan Meal With Meat’

As annoying as some vegans may be, putting meat in their meal is a super low-blow, and an easy way for people to learn you are a complete a-hole. Well, Laura Goodman is a complete a-hole.

Goodman, the chef and co-owner of Carlini in Shifnal, Shropshire, is getting hit with one-star reviews left and right after she boasted on Facebook about putting meat in a vegan group’s meals. It all kicked off when Goodman took it to a Facebook group to make this comment about a vegan she served:

When asked by commenters to clarify her comments, the vocal chef responded with this:

And then Goodman dropped this bomb:

Well that’s awful. And the backlash was extremely harsh as comments bashing Goodman came from all directions — so much so that Carlini’s Facebook page has disappeared and its Tripadvisor and Google pages have been flooded with one-star reviews. Here are just some of the comments:

Debbie Ireland, an admin of the Facebook group Goodman posted in had this to say to Metro:

“To eat at any restaurant, you are placing your trust and health in them. A lot of damage can come from food not being prepared properly, or in this case, contamination. I think people were outraged, as this could happen to any one of us, if that chef disliked you.

It’s quite unnerving, and makes you think twice about eating out anywhere, when you hear a chef and restaurant owner not only admitting to this, but gloating about it afterwards – mentioning on other posts that she had ‘just spiked a vegan.’ I can’t imagine what else goes on at their eateries.”

Goodman hasn’t responded to the backlash yet, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say her career is fried.
