Does this shock anyone anymore? While a lot of teachers actually do their job and are fantastic at their job even while most kids are terrible, there are some teachers out there that use their position of power to take advantage of students. And while we’ve mentioned plenty of the latter on here, it’s now time to talk about Megan Kotarski.
The 28-year-old was a teacher at Horizon Science Academy Southwest charter school when it was discovered that she was hooking up with a 16-year-old student. After an investigation that began earlier this month, the teacher turned herself in to police.

“As the allegations involved a minor, the school contacted the [Illinois] Department of Children and Family Services and Chicago Police,” Christopher Murphy, director of strategic growth & PR for Concept Schools, said at the time.
Kotarski obviously resigned from her position once word got out of her awful deeds. This former teacher is now being charged with a felony count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim between 13 and 18 years old.
