Any day a thief takes it up the tailpipe is a good day in my book.

According to The Telegraph, a 30-year-old British woman recently one-upped the asshole who took her bike when she found out he was selling her ride on Facebook.

Jenni Morton-Humphreys said police told her not to attempt to steal the bike back from the dude who took it, but after they declined to accompany her to the thief’s residence, she had no choice but to take matters into her own hands.

“I pretended to be interested and asked silly questions about the bike,” Morton-Humphreys said. “I said the saddle was too high, and asked if I could get on it to test it out. I made sure I had nothing on me, no possessions at all apart from the stuff in my hands, and they were a cigarette packet and a set of keys. I handed them to this guy as I got on the bike and said ‘Here, hold my stuff.'”

Morton-Humphreys then asked the thief if she could test-ride the bike, which to her delight had been fitted with a new front light as well as a few other nice touch-ups. He obliged, so she took off on the bike and obviously never returned.

It was nothing short of a brilliant plan from Morton-Humphreys. Well, unless of course those keys she left with the thief actually open up her front door.
