Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley was threatened by armed robbers carrying baseball bats during a raid on his £3,5 million Manchester mansion, with them stealing two Range Rovers, jewellery, designer handbags and more in the £175,000 burglary.

Cleverley was with his wife, reality TV star Georgina Dorsett, and two-year-old daughter at the time of the robbery, with the family being unharmed but “shaken”, according to reports.

A spokesman for the Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers attended and discovered a man, a woman and an infant who had been the victims of an aggravated burglary.

“None of the victims were injured. An investigation was subsequently launched and is on-going.”

The burglars reportedly stole a £15,000 Cartier bracelet, a £10,000 Hermes Birkin handbag and a £50,000 Audemars Piguet during the raid, with them then using the Range Rovers to escape.

Cleverley currently plays for Everton after a spell at Aston Villa last season, who he joined on loan from Manchester United. He also has 13 caps for the England national squad, acquired during 2012/13.
