5 Things To Do Now That Your Fantasy Football Season Is Over

Congratulations. If you’re reading this article right now it means you’ve either advance to the consolation bracket of your fantasy football league or you’re out of competition all together. Either way, it’s easy to get stressed or depressed leading up to the holidays.

Have no fear! I have some suggestions as to how to keep your mind off of things. And by ‘off of things,’ I mean fantasy football.

#1 Play College Bowl Pick ’em

You might not be able to gamble any more of your money away or fail once again to attain that glorious travel trophy, but playing pick ’em until you can study up for baseball season is a great way to get through the holidays with the in-laws. Just sit back and relax, as you now have an excuse to watch the Micron PC dot com Bowl between Old Dominion and East New Hampshire State (that second school is totally made up … I think).

Here is the link to Yahoo! Sports College Bowl Pick ’em.

There is also a playoff version of Survival Football if you’re an NFL-only kind of guy.

Don’t judge my screen capture too harshly just because GoogleAds knows I was looking at ugly Christmas sweaters last week.

#2 Catch up on Netflix

Here are the latest hyped-up additions to Netflix this month. Or if you’re in the holiday spirit, the streaming service has a modest selection of Christmas favs, including Scrooged, Love Actually and Ernest.

If you’re like me — which God forbid, you’re not — you might feel like squeezing in a workout while catching what’s on the boobtube. It certainly makes the awful confines of an in-home workout move along more quickly.

#3 Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

The newest COD that came out last month just got its latest update Thursday and continues to not only be one of the best combat franchises of all-time, but one of the most visually stunning. You have to take all of your built-up aggression towards your fantasy losses out on something healthy, right?

Or if you love the sports games, as I do. Now is the time of year to play NBA Live 15.

#4 Christmas Shop … online

Only those who need to shop local should be heading to an actual store. As most of us know by now, the best deals are found online, especially this month! (I have no idea why I put an exclamation point there.)

There are many sites that provide news on the best deals of the day after scouring hundreds, if not thousands, of other online retailers. A few to check out include: DealNews.com, GottaDeal.com, SlickDeals.net, DODTracker

Always be sure to check these sites for coupon codes to possibly knock off extra savings: CouponCabin, CouponWinner and RetailMeNot

There is even a site that might be able to knock off your shipping costs — FreeShipping.org.

You’re welcome.

#5 Learn how to make sweet potato flat bread with a Rigatoni Alla Norma.

Because after months of abandonment each Sunday afternoon… and Monday night… and Thursday night… and an occassional Saturday, you’ll need to do everything within your power to rekindle the fire with your significant other. The number one way to do so? Through her stomach!

What better way to learn how to make an amazing meal a woman will love than to learn directly from a woman herself. Check out WomansDay.com for easy recipes.

Josh Helmuth is the editor of CraveOnline Sports and never thought in a million years he would directly link to WomansDay dot com in any of his articles.
