Massive Future Music Festival Lineup Dropping Soon

Australian entrepreneur Michael Gudinski and the Mushroom Group announced a new “strategic alliance” with Future Entertainment on Friday and will announce a blockbuster Future Music Festival lineup in the coming weeks.

Mushroom has also bought into other Future Entertainment events- including Summerdayze and under 18s event Good Life- and intends to use its rich history with international and local acts to further grow one of Australia’s top summer festivals.

“With only weeks until the highly anticipated announcement of the 2014 line up, Future Music Festival (FMF) is very proud to announce a strategic alliance with The Mushroom Group, Australia’s largest independent music and entertainment group, and its subsidiary Frontier Touring, Australasia’s #1 concert promoter,” said the newly merged entities in a statement released on Friday.

The statement goes on to declare the alliance will bring a “bigger and brighter future for FMF” with Gudinski saying, “I believe our combined forces can take the festival to new heights with an even greater focus on the fan experience and the addition of some exciting new innovations.”

FMF usually drops their lineup announcement in mid-October, however next year’s bill is set for release a month earlier, in just a couple of weeks.

FMF 2013 featured The Stone Roses, The Prodigy, Dizzee Rascal, Bloc Party, Azealia Banks, The Temper Trap and Fun.
