Adrien Brody Clean Movie

Mandatory Trailers: Adrien Brody’s Passion Project ‘Clean’ Looks a Remake of a Classic Disguised as a Fantasy Hate Crime

Adrien Brody is an interesting actor. After winning the best actor Oscar early in his career, Brody has remained relatively below the radar. While he has made some interesting choices in the past, 2021 was a career comeback. Even though most people will remember his recent scene-stealing role in Succession, it seems that Brody is looking to go full Joaquin Phoenix in his latest film, Clean.

The film stars Adrien Brody as a garbage collector who is sucked into the orbit of a local crime boss. As a result, he must face the violence of his past to find redemption through a young woman. Hold on a second, is this film secretly disguised as a remake of The Professional?

As you can see, Clean looks to be yet another entry into the good ol’ “man with a past” cannon. From The Professional to You Were Never Really Here, Clean looks to add nothing to said cannon. Although the film is a decade-long passion project for Brody, there’s something off about the “white savior” aspect of this trailer.

Nevertheless, Adrien Brody’s gruff, bearded protagonist is ready to kick some ass and take some names. At the very least, Clean proves that even celebrities can fulfill their fantasy hate crimes through their art.
