Billy Evans has addressed the controversy surrounding his appearance in a new documentary. The film has drawn attention for an unexpectedly intimate moment involving Elizabeth Holmes‘ partner. Now, Evans is challenging claims about how that scene came together.
Billy Evans disputes account of nude scene in You Can See Everything
The 34-year-old appears alongside Elizabeth Holmes in “You Can See Everything.” Directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, the documentary includes a full-frontal shower scene. Sources previously claimed Evans felt “violated” by its inclusion.
The scene follows Evans working out at a gym before showing him showering at home. The camera pans up his naked body before he covers himself with a towel. Oppenheim previously claimed Evans willingly agreed to be filmed naked.
He also suggested Evans seemed enthusiastic, saying, “like he really had something he wanted to show to us and to the world.”
However, sources subsequently disputed that explanation. One source told People, “The shower scene wasn’t Billy’s idea.” The insider added that Evans agreed under the understanding that producers would “keep it PG.”
The source described the situation as “a violation of trust and exploiting that trust for shock value.” Another insider reportedly claimed Evans was assured “it would not make the final cut for legal reasons.”
The conflicting accounts raised questions about what Evans had agreed to during filming and whether he expected the explicit footage to appear in the documentary.
Evans addressed the controversy during an ask-me-anything session on X. One user argued that the scene “doesn’t happen unless you want it to.” He rejected that interpretation, calling it a “false narrative.”
Another person asked whether the filmmakers entered the shower or continued filming without his objection. Evans responded by sharing the People article about his experience. He also directed the commenter to “trust the ‘sources.’”
Although Evans challenged Oppenheim’s version of events, he did not provide further details about what happened during filming. The disagreement over the scene’s inclusion remains unresolved.
