Kate Middleton & Meghan Markle’s Parenting Divide Exposed — Report

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have very different ideas about raising their children in the public eye. Kate has been spotted enjoying public outings with Princess Charlotte, while Meghan keeps Archie and Lilibet largely out of the spotlight.

Kate Middleton’s public outing with Princess Charlotte compared to Meghan Markle’s private approach with kids

Kate Middleton has tried to give Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis experiences beyond their royal duties. Her recent public outing with Charlotte offered a glimpse of their time together. According to Hello, the pair appeared relaxed and chatted with fellow passengers. “They seemed very relaxed and were chatting together, smiling,” a source told the publication.

The family also reportedly spends considerable time at Anmer Hall, their Norfolk home, where the children can enjoy a more private life. “They spend as much time as possible at Anmer Hall, their home in Norfolk, because that is where they can live as normal a life as possible,” a royal insider previously told New Idea. The source added that the children enjoy beach visits, woodland walks, fairs, and equestrian events.

Meghan Markle, meanwhile, has taken a more protective approach to sharing her children with the public. She and Prince Harry rarely share details about Archie and Lilibet. Their approach reflects longstanding concerns about media intrusion and the family’s desire to give the children greater privacy.

Meghan has explained her position in interviews. Speaking to The Cut, she rejected the suggestion that her approach made her obsessed with privacy. “That doesn’t make me obsessed with privacy. That makes me a strong and good parent protecting my child,” she said. She also criticized the Royal Rota system, which traditionally gives selected media outlets access to royal coverage.

“There’s literally a structure by which if you want to release photos of your child, as a member of the family, you first have to give them to the Royal Rota,” Meghan explained in 2022. Their choices offer a glimpse into two very different visions of family life, shaped by their experiences within and beyond the royal fold.
