Ex-Prince Andrew Claims Police Crossed a Line During Home Raids — Report

Ex-Prince Andrew has reportedly made a claim that the British police crossed a line when they raided two of his properties back in February. The raid took place on the same day the police arrested the former Duke of York on suspicion of misconduct in public office associated with the investigation surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case.

According to the new report, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has claimed that the officers went on to seize some of his personal belongings during the house raids.

Ex-Prince Andrew reportedly claims police took personal items during home raids

Ex-Prince Andrew has allegedly claimed that British police took some of his personal items when they came to raid two of his homes. As reported by The Telegraph, the former Duke of York has taken legal action against the authorities, challenging the warrants the police obtained to raid his homes.

According to the publication, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor gave instructions to lawyers after he discovered that Thames Valley Police detectives had reportedly removed confidential and private material not associated with the criminal investigation.

The news outlet further reported that ex-Prince Andrew went on to launch a judicial review of the search warrants that granted permission to the British police to conduct a raid on his property in Norfolk and also on his former long-time residence in Windsor. According to the publication’s report, apart from challenging the British police’s conduct, the former Prince’s lawyers have been asking “the High Court to rule whether the granting of the warrant itself by an Old Bailey judge was lawful.”

In the meantime, it is expected that the ruling of the court will come out imminently. According to the publication, if ex-Prince Andrew wins the case, Thames Valley Police may have to give back all the seized material during the raids. The publication also reported that a source told them that the result of the judicial review will play a major role in establishing the future of the case against the former Duke of York.
