In Prince William‘s eyes, ex-Prince Andrew is reportedly a “threat to the monarchy.” The report came amid news of the former Duke of York challenging the warrants obtained by the British police to search two properties after his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. However, according to the new report, a source claimed that the Prince of Wales wants Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to stop the legal fight and stay under the radar.
Prince William wants Ex-Prince Andrew to ‘stop fighting and stay out of sight,’ per source
Prince William allegedly wants ex-Prince Andrew to “stop fighting and stay out of sight” after the former Duke of York reportedly went on to challenge British police’s property search warrants. As reported by Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice, there has been a bitter division among the members of the royal family over the former Prince’s new legal move.
Per the news outlet, sources told them that King Charles has been backing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s right to fight privately. Whereas Prince William allegedly wishes for him to put a stop to it.
Furthermore, an insider said to the publication that “Charles privately believes Andrew has every right to challenge the warrants if he thinks they were improperly obtained.” The insider then explained, “But nobody should mistake that for public support. The King is staying completely out of this.” The insider then pointed out that ex-Prince Andrew still remains the King’s younger brother.
According to the insider, “Charles believes he deserves the same legal rights as anyone else.” However, the monarch will reportedly not defend the former Duke of York publicly. Per the insider, King Charles will also refrain from dragging the palace into the situation.
In the meantime, another source told the news outlet that Prince William, on the other hand, “has had enough.” The source explained, “He wants Andrew to stop fighting, stay out of sight and stop putting Epstein and the Royal Family back into headlines. For William, every new legal battle damages the Crown.”
The source stated that King Charles sees ex-Prince Andrew as someone “with the right to fight.” “William sees a continuing threat to the monarchy. Publicly, Andrew is completely on his own,” the source further claimed.
