Real Housewives of London Star Says ‘Nasty’ Gossip Upset Her Mother

Amanda Cronin is opening up about how The Real Housewives of London affected the people closest to her. Looking back at Season 1, the skincare entrepreneur said some of the gossip became difficult for her family to watch. The Real Housewives of London star is returning for Season 2 with shifting friendships and fresh tension. However, Cronin admits the first season left an especially painful impression on her mother.

Amanda Cronin admits watching RHOLDN was difficult for her family

In a new OK! interview, Cronin said she found Season 1 difficult to watch. She felt some of her costars spread gossip that became “quite nasty.” “My mum was upset by a lot of it,” Cronin said. She explained that her mother struggled to watch people criticize her daughter on television.

Season 1 also featured a major feud between Cronin and Juliet Angus. Their arguments carried into the reunion, where producers stepped in as tensions escalated.

However, Cronin says their friendship has improved. She revealed that she and Angus are now “cozying up” again after working through some of their problems.

That reconciliation may create fresh tension during Real Housewives of London Season 2. Cronin believes Karen Loderick-Peace may have felt pushed aside when she reconnected with Angus.

Cronin also recalled a point when “no one was speaking to me.” She called that period tough and said she currently has no relationship with Karen or Panthea Parker.

Meanwhile, things have improved with Juliet Mayhew. Cronin said Mayhew eventually told her to accept her personality rather than fight against it. That approach helped Cronin see her costar differently. She even admitted that she now finds Mayhew “less annoying.”

Still, Season 2 looks unlikely to stay peaceful. A recent trailer showed Juliet Angus confronting Cronin over an alleged British Fashion Awards red-carpet image. All six original Real Housewives stars return when RHOLDN Season 2 premieres Sept. 7.

For Cronin, the new episodes may give viewers a different perspective. She hopes they will see more of the person behind last season’s conflict.
