Former friends Carole Radziwill and Luann de Lesseps have a history of tension on Real Housewives of New York. Their rivalry resurfaced after Radziwill landed on the front page of a major New York newspaper. De Lesseps soon found a playful way to grab attention herself.
Luann shared a Photoshopped cover after her RHONY rival made the news
Luann de Lesseps shared a Photoshopped New York Post cover on Instagram on October 16. The mock front page featured two photos of the reality star, including one with a martini. Its headline read, “Countess Still Serving it Up: Luann de Lesseps parties, performs, and proves she’s still the Queen of New York.”
“Keep on SERVIN’ ??✨” de Lesseps wrote in her caption. She also used the post to promote her upcoming cabaret tour. The playful post followed Carole Radziwill’s appearance on the newspaper’s actual front page.
The New York Post spotlighted Radziwill over her reported parking violations in New York City. According to the newspaper, she accumulated more than 83 traffic violations over four years. The report also claimed she owed approximately $8,000 in tickets and used ConEd cones to reserve parking spaces.
Radziwill responded to the coverage with humor and affection for her hometown. “I’m on the cover of my hometown paper?!” she wrote on Instagram. She described the experience as a “fever dream” before addressing the reported violations.
“I ♥️ the traffic cops. I ♥️ my city and I ♥️ the New York Post,” Radziwill wrote. She also joked about oversleeping and defended herself against the parking criticism. “Beep, beep, bitches,” she added, while saying she had paid every dollar of her tickets.
The RHONY stars have a complicated history dating back to Season 7. Their friendship deteriorated after Radziwill began dating chef Adam Kenworthy. He had previously been involved with de Lesseps’ niece, Nicole Nadeau.
Meanwhile, Bravo executive Andy Cohen also reacted to Radziwill’s unexpected newspaper appearance. “I had to go to Casa Magazines to see if it’s real. It’s real. I can’t believe it!” Cohen said in an Instagram Story. Radziwill has returned for Season 16 of RHONY, keeping her connected to the franchise. De Lesseps’ Photoshopped cover added another cheeky moment to their ongoing rivalry.
