Dorinda Medley admitted that she could eventually see herself parting with Blue Stone Manor, although she has no immediate plans to sell the famous Berkshires estate. The RHONY alum reflected on the property while attending the New York City premiere of E!’s The Golden Life.
For Medley, the decision would come down to timing. She believes there will eventually be a point when she feels she has done everything she wanted with the house and can move on.
Dorinda admits she can envision eventually selling her famous estate
Medley said she could not picture herself maintaining an 11,000-square-foot home forever. “Do I see myself at 70, walking around 11,000 square feet? Probably not,” she told PEOPLE. Still, she emphasized that she was “in no rush.”
The property carries decades of personal history for Medley. Her grandfather and father helped build the home, while her late husband, Richard, bought the neglected estate in 2005. The couple later spent nearly $4 million restoring the 1902 property, which sits on 20 acres.
After Richard died in 2011, Medley continued caring for the estate. Blue Stone Manor also became closely associated with Real Housewives viewers through her RHONY gatherings. Peacock later used the estate for a season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Medley recently experienced another Bravo moment when 82 past and present Housewives gathered there for a finale celebration. She said watching cast members move through the house felt surreal and made her believe Blue Stone Manor had secured a lasting place in Housewives history.
Her comments about a possible future Blue Stone Manor sale came after she listed a separate portion of the property. In July, Medley put just under 3.7 acres on the market for $1.2 million.
She explained that a survey revealed she owned 20 acres rather than the roughly 11 acres she previously believed belonged to her. That discovery convinced her she no longer needed all of the land.
For now, selling that parcel does not mean Medley plans to give up Blue Stone Manor itself. She said the estate will remain part of her life until she feels ready for another chapter.
Meanwhile, Medley is preparing to return to television in The Golden Life alongside Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan.
