Martha Stewart Could Stir Up Trouble on RHONY Without Even Trying

Martha Stewart may be making waves on The Real Housewives of New York City without joining the cast full time. Newcomer Daisy Toye says she would rather keep the lifestyle star as her close friend than risk fighting with her on the Bravo show. Stewart has already appeared several times during Season 16. Toye also recently defended her friend after a fellow cast member questioned her behavior at a group dinner.

Toye explained her decision during an interview with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea. “I don’t wanna fight with her,” she said. “I like her where she is now. I could FaceTime her when I need her. I also do her makeup.” Stewart has made several appearances this season, and Toye said her friend gets “a kick” out of watching clips of herself on the show.

Stewart’s name has also come up in drama between the women. Earlier this month, fellow newcomer Hailey Glassman claimed that Stewart “dined and dashed” after meeting the cast at New York City’s Polo Bar before Season 16 filming began. Toye disagreed and clarified that the group had already eaten when Stewart arrived. She said Stewart had only received a last-minute invitation to meet everyone.

According to Toye, Stewart had been attending a conference and planned to arrive around 10 p.m. By then, dinner had ended, and Stewart stayed for only “10 minutes.” Toye said Stewart might have taken a sip of her martini or margarita. “Of course she’s not gonna pay,” Toye explained, adding, “She didn’t come for dinner.”

Toye joined the show this season alongside Erika Hammond and Glassman. She already knew Hammond through their mutual friend Stewart before filming began. Stewart is not officially part of the RHONY cast, but her appearances and connections have brought her into the women’s conversations.

Toye appears happy to keep their friendship outside the show’s drama. The Real Housewives of New York City airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
