Christian Bale has a new movie coming out with Nicolas Cage
Bale is preparing for the release of Madden, a biographical sports drama directed by David O. Russell. The film stars Nicolas Cage as legendary NFL coach and broadcaster John Madden. Bale plays Al Davis, the former owner of the Oakland Raiders and Madden’s close friend. Their partnership helped the Raiders win their first Super Bowl in 1977. The cast also includes Kathryn Hahn as Virginia Madden, Sienna Miller as Carol Davis, and John Mulaney as Trip Hawkins.
The film follows Madden’s journey from coaching the Raiders to becoming a familiar face in football broadcasting. It also explores his connection with Davis and the creation of the Madden NFL video game franchise. The series started in 1988 and became a top-selling sports franchise.
Christian Bale also spoke about working with Nicolas Cage. The Batman Begins star said, “It was fantastic because I’ve really appreciated Nic’s acting and his choices and his life. He’s someone who lives an interesting life.”
Madden will arrive in select theaters on November 11, 2026. The film will then begin streaming globally on Prime Video on November 18.
