Angie Katsanevas and Mary Cosby have shared plenty of ups and downs during their five seasons together on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. However, their relationship has become increasingly tense recently. Now, Katsanevas is admitting that she may have let some of Cosby’s hurtful comments slide for too long.
Angie says she hasn’t always confronted Mary’s hurtful remarks
TV star recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, November 4, where she discussed her reality TV appearances, career, and personal life. During the conversation, she also addressed her strained relationship with her co-star. Katsanevas admitted that she hadn’t always confronted Cosby about comments that hurt her.
Angie Katsanevas said, “I love Mary with all my heart. I feel like I’ve been there for her. And when the thing that matters to me most, which is my daughter, Elektra, and my parenting got brought up, I was not speaking, obviously, from my mind, but just coming from a place of pain, you know? I was very emotional.”
She added, “I think I’ve tempered myself. I have not always told Mary how I feel about some of her comments towards me, and with that, I have to take accountability that I’ve really cultivated this relationship with her where I haven’t always been honest about some of her feedback. And it has hurt me.”
The reality star later concluded, “Elektra being brought up, I hit my breaking point. And I deeply regret it, obviously. I never would want to hurt Mary. There’s no excuse. And it’s nothing I can take back, and that’s the hardest thing about it, because I do love her.”
The 52-year-old also recalled how Cosby famously asked, “Who is Angie?” during Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. By Season 5, however, the two had developed an unexpectedly close friendship. They even attended an event carrying matching purses.
The major fallout between Cosby and Katsanevas reportedly began during the filming of Season 7. Although they had experienced minor ups and downs in Seasons 4 and 5, their conflict became more personal during the later season.
