Zac Affleck reportedly learned about his wife Jen Affleck’s divorce filing through media reports rather than directly from her.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star filed for divorce in Utah on Tuesday, November 3, after more than seven years of marriage. However, sources claimed Zac only learned about the filing when TMZ reported the news.
Zac Affleck reportedly head of estranged wife Jen Affleck’s divorce filing from news reporting
Sources familiar with the situation told TMZ that Zac was unaware of the official divorce filing until the outlet reported it.
The development came as the couple prepared to welcome their fourth child together.
According to the insiders, Zac focused on his responsibilities as a father following the news. He reportedly prioritized the well-being of their three children while navigating changes within the family.
The sources declined to discuss the circumstances surrounding the couple’s separation.
They also expressed concern about the timing of the announcement, as the divorce news became public on the birthday of the couple’s daughter, Nora.
Meanwhile, Jen continued preparing for her upcoming television appearances.
TMZ reported that the reality star planned to fulfill her promotional commitments for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County.
Her schedule included interviews and other publicity appearances on Thursday, November 5.
However, Zac did not participate in filming the upcoming spinoff.
Previous reports indicated that he had not filmed any scenes for the new series. As a result, any discussion of the couple’s marriage or separation on the show would not include Zac’s on-camera perspective.
The latest Zac Affleck divorce report followed TMZ’s earlier coverage of Jen’s court filing.
The couple had been married for more than seven years before Jen sought to dissolve their marriage.
Despite the separation, the pair continued to share parenting responsibilities for their three children, with another baby expected.
