King Charles is reportedly confident about handling ex-Prince Andrew‘s scandal. The former Duke of York has been dealing with a police investigation. As per an aide, the monarch reportedly continues to focus on his nine-day Caribbean tour.
Why an insider says the monarch’s priorities can change by the hour
According to Hello, King Charles feels “confident” in handling the latest scandal around ex-Prince Andrew. A senior aide was asked whether the monarch was confident that his approach to the family matter was right.
This is amid recent polling showing a dip in his popularity. “Yes. That is why he takes the actions he does – and has done. Busy people get lots done.” the aide said. They continued, “The King rigorously prioritises his multiple roles, as Head of State, church, Commonwealth, military and family.”
The aide continued, “The order of priority shifts by the day – and often by the hour.” Beside ex-Prince Andrew, there is a controversy surrounding Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle. However, Charles is reportedly maintaining focus on his Caribbean tour.
“You’ve seen over past days The King working as hard as ever,” the aide noted. This includes “across time zones with packed schedules tackling the widest range of issues in support of UK, Realm and Commonwealth objectives.”
The aide added, “This is literally the job he was born to do – lifelong service, with global impact and a tireless commitment to duty. You will also hopefully have seen the great pride, pleasure and satisfaction it gives him, whether meeting Heads of State to discuss high-level matters of international diplomacy, or meeting the crowds who’ve turned out to meet him in the streets … a few unscripted Royal dance moves and all.”
The senior aide, continued, “That approach to his life and service never stops.” Moreover, the aide was asked whether his team and Queen Camilla struggle to pace the King’s workload. “We try… and just about succeed most of the time,” the aide responded.
