According to the National Examiner’s report, the Duke of Sussex reportedly feared being excluded from his father’s inheritance. A source claimed, “He’s convinced William would love nothing more than to see him cut out completely.”
The insider also pointed to King Charles’ recent praise for his eldest son, claiming it left Harry worried that his brother was “slowly turning his own father against him.” However, the report offered no confirmation of any changes to the King’s inheritance plans. The alleged concerns come amid years of tension between the brothers, which intensified after Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in 2020.
Meanwhile, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield discussed the couple’s potential return to Britain in August 2026. Speaking to Page Six, she claimed that people within William’s circle suspected the Sussexes had financial motives.
According to Schofield, “money and inheritance” factored into their perceived calculations. However, the National Examiner’s source pushed back against that interpretation. “Harry insists that money has nothing to do with this push to make peace with his father,” the insider said.
They added that he “genuinely does want a relationship with Charles.” Harry expressed similar sentiments during an October 20 interview with GQ, describing reconciliation as “the most important thing.”
The insider also connected Harry’s reported concerns to the Sussexes’ financial commitments. “They have enormous expenses and there’s always pressure to keep bringing money in,” the source claimed. They further suggested that although Harry understood his financial privileges, he continued to face considerable pressure.
The insider added that he had “Meghan and the children to think about” and wanted to secure their future. Previously, Harry met his father at Clarence House on September 10, 2025. Buckingham Palace confirmed the private meeting, which came after nearly 20 months without the two seeing each other. Nevertheless, neither the palace nor the princes have publicly addressed the alleged inheritance concerns.
