Meri Brown reveals weekly marriage proposals and offers to join polygamous families after Kody split
In a conversation with Us Weekly, Meri Brown opened up about her love life and the marriage proposals she has received.
Brown said, “There’s been a couple of times since I’ve been dating that people have reached out to me on the socials basically saying, ‘Hey, we’d love to have you in our family.’”
She explained that after announcing her split from Kody Brown, several people in polygamous relationships reached out to her about joining their families.
Meri Brown and Kody Brown announced their separation in January 2023 after more than 30 years together. The couple married in 1990. Kody later entered plural marriages with sister wives Janelle Brown in 1993 and Christine Brown in 1994. He legally married his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, in 2014 after they spiritually married in 2010.
She said, “I’ve had families reach out to me, like, a wife saying that she and her husband are looking and would be interested. I’ve had a man who said he and his wife really like me.”
However, Brown revealed that people in polygamous relationships are not the only ones who have contacted her with proposals.
Brown said, “I get proposed to, I swear, on a weekly basis. You know, I had an e-mail just the other day where a guy, you know, sent a message and it’s the weirdest thing. It’s the weirdest thing.”
Brown also discussed an outdoor dating experience. She shared that she was talking to Eric and describing him as an outgoing guy. Brown added that anyone interested in her has to make their interest known.
Despite the unexpected proposals, Meri Brown continues to explore dating as she navigates life after the end of her marriage.
