Susan Dell, the wife of Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell, has drawn a wave of online attention after appearing alongside President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. Social media users have homed in on her demeanour rather than the announcement behind the visit. Susan stood with her husband and Trump at the White House on October 7 to highlight the couple’s major financial commitment to the Trump Accounts programme.

Clips and photos from the event spread quickly on social media, especially on X. Users picked over Susan’s facial expressions, hand movements and overall demeanour. Some speculated that she had undergone cosmetic procedures or other aesthetic treatments. No such claim has been verified. Other users responded with bafflement and sarcasm. One wrote: “Out of all the perplexing entities in this simulation, this one stuns me the most.” Another posted: “I still don’t know who this is? Why is she throwing her back out?” The same user also pointed to “The dazed, almost confused look on her face.”
Inside the Oval Office, Susan urged parents and grandparents to make sure their children and grandchildren claim their accounts. Trump added a light-hearted moment of his own, joking that he would give her his “complete and total endorsement” if she ever decided to enter politics. Susan is a philanthropist who co-founded the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and serves as its board chair.
The scheme gives eligible children born between 2025 and 2028 a $1,000 federal seed deposit in an investment account. The Dells have committed billions of dollars to back it. Their pledge totals $6.25 billion. It will fund some 25 million additional accounts, seeded with $250 each, for children who missed the eligibility cutoff for the federally funded deposit. Speaking alongside Trump at the White House when the couple announced the pledge, Susan said: “The greatest investment that we could possibly make is in children.”
