Donald Trump Says Alaska Election Is ‘Cheating’ Over Two Men With Same Name

Donald Trump recently raised concerns about the Senate race in Alaska. There, two candidates with the same name, Dan Sullivan, are running head-to-head. The President also called for removing the second Dan Sullivan, who is not affiliated with his party. This comes just a few days before the 2026 midterm elections on November 3.

Donald Trump is worried about Alaska elections over a name

President Donald Trump recently posted another rant on Truth Social about two men with the same name competing in Alaska’s Senate race.

In Alaska, Republican Senator Dan S. Sullivan is seeking a third term and is running against retired teacher Dan J. Sullivan Jr. However, while campaigning, Republicans have urged people in Alaska to support the ‘real’ Sullivan, who, in their words, is their candidate.

In the post, Trump claimed that the case of two Dans is a plot by Democrats to cause confusion in the elections, writing, “I am very concerned about the Dan S. Sullivan Race for the U.S. Senate in Alaska in that it is totally confusing, with the Dumocrats putting up another man, totally unrelated to Politics, named Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr.”

The President added, “We are looking at powerful legal options to remove the fraudulent Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. from the Ballot, and holding the Democrats accountable for their Election Interference, in the pursuit of Justice and Fairness.”

Trump also called out the court for not interfering in the matter and allowing the two Dans to compete, which he refers to as “cheating” by the Democrats.

The retired teacher, Dan, is also running as a Republican.

During a rally in Alaska on October 13, Trump urged people to reject the “fake” Dan Sullivan. According to The Guardian, he said, “That’s just cheating. They’re terrible. They put him up to get a little confused.”
