A body language expert has offered a critical take on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first public appearance together since returning to the UK. For those unversed, as per reports, the Sussexes were photographed holding hands on a lunch date at a Cotswolds pub this week. The couple was dressed in casual clothing and made a quiet appearance at the pub without attracting a lot of attention.

As per body language expert Inbaal Honigman, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were “completely out of sync” during their first joint UK outing. Their expressions and gestures appared to indicate friction and disconnect between the prince and his actress wife.
As per Honigman, Harry and Meghan have showcased completely contrasting body language cues and do not match during their outing. The body language expert explained that although they are walking hand-in-hand, their body language indicates that the couple are on different trajectories.
Honigman has pointed out that while Harry has stationed his gaze to the front, Markle is seen pointing and looking sideways. This possibly appears to hint that they are not on the same page and have different takeaways from this outing. The body language expert explained with a specific instance when the “Suits” star holds a hand protectively in front of her upper body, seemingly appearing to indicate caution.
However, the Duke of Sussex appears more confident in his walk, taking sweeping strides, seemingly indicating being at ease. At one point, Harry touches his ear, probably letting his guard down. Markle, on the other hand, appears to remain unfazed. Honigman expressed that they seem to be on different outings and don’t seem to be on the same path.
The Duke of Sussex also appeared to walk ahead of his wife, with the body language expert noting that walking slightly behind her could have shown he “has her back.” Honigman further concluded that their incompatible body language perhaps indicates disharmony in their household.
