Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were treated “like locals” during their low-key Cotswolds pub lunch, sources claim

Sources attached to The Sun shared that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were given no preferential treatment during their quiet Cotswolds pub lunch. The Sun published photos of the Sussexes on October 2. Harry and Meghan held hands as they walked into The Falkland Arms pub in the Cotswolds the previous day.

The pair was dressed in casual muted colors, almost color-coordinated for the low-key outing. The Suits star donned a black sweater, dark pants, and white sneakers and wore sunglasses. The Duke of Sussex, on the other hand, sported jeans, sunglasses, an olive green fall jacket, and a baseball cap.

As per the outlet, Markle opted for a more English menu. She ate gluten-free beer-battered haddock and chips paired with mushy peas and tartar sauce. On the other hand, the prince relished some chicken, ham, and leek pie. He enjoyed it with some seasonal greens, mashed potatoes and gravy.

A source explained that Harry and Meghan tried not to get attention to themselves as they enjoyed their first public outing in the UK together. The source said: “Everyone here gets the royal treatment — it doesn’t matter who you are. We’re lucky to get lots of different people visiting us, and everyone is treated like a local. When they visited, Harry and Meghan just acted like locals.”

Notably, the Duke of Sussex has made multiple appearances in the UK ever since he returned to his home country on August 26. He attended the WellChild Awards and the Invictus Spirit Gala Dinner and Awards. Harry also flew to the U.S. to fulfill a few more work commitments.

Markle, on the other hand, has maintained a low profile. As per Page Six, she was photographed spending time with former talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi. They spent time at the Three Horseshoes near Burford, Oxfordshire, on September 21.
