Taank said she was shocked by Lichy’s comments during filming. Lichy called her “thirsty” and “fake” during an apparent hot-mic moment. According to a Page Six report, Taank said they were not on bad terms when the comments happened.
The timing made the situation especially confusing for Taank. She said they had shared an “amazing” lunch before filming. The pair bonded while discussing the recent deaths of their fathers.
“I walked away from that lunch feeling really good about where we were,” Taank said. She described hearing Lichy’s accusations as a surprise. “I was like, ‘Wait, where is this coming from?’” she recalled.
Taank later offered her own theory about the conflict. She claimed Lichy is “very much so” jealous of her opportunities. Taank specifically pointed to her recent Rolling Stone feature.
The feud also involves how the women view friendship. Taank said she considers herself a “girl’s girl” who celebrates her friends’ achievements. She contrasted that attitude with Lichy’s decision to call her “thirsty.”
“The difference between Erin and [me] is I celebrate my friends,” Taank said. She added that she would praise friends when they were thriving. Taank suggested Lichy instead appeared uncomfortable with her growing opportunities.
Taank also wondered whether Lichy expected the show to unfold differently. She suggested Lichy may resent how things developed for her. Taank connected those feelings to their ongoing tension on RHONY.
“I do feel like maybe Erin expected this to go differently for her,” Taank said. She also questioned Lichy’s outward displays of support. “You sort of see her actions speak otherwise,” she added.
The conflict arrives during Season 16. The premiere revealed that Taank and Lichy were again on rocky terms. Their latest dispute began while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.
Both women joined the rebooted RHONY cast during Season 14. Only Taank, Lichy, and Sai De Silva returned for Season 16. Their complicated friendship now adds another storyline to the current season.
