Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s fame has reportedly declined in America as well. The public has allegedly grown tired of the same “victim narrative.” The Sussexes are now back in Britain for an extended stay after living in Montecito for nearly six years. While they try to navigate their new life in the UK, sources say the buzz surrounding them in the US has disappeared.
America has ‘fallen out of love’ with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, claims source
The buzz around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has reportedly disappeared in the US. The Sussexes have finally moved back to the UK for an extended stay. They are reportedly staying in the Cotswolds right now, and their kids are expected to start school this month. Amid this, Meghan is trying her best to build her business while spending more time in Britain. However, a report by Heatworld suggests that her brand, As Ever, is losing popularity.
According to the report, a local bookshop has entirely stopped displaying products from As Ever. As per a source in Santa Barbara, when the Sussexes first moved to California, there was a lot of excitement and public interest. However, that “buzz” has now disappeared. The source added, “Americans love success, and there has been precious little of that. Their victim narrative became tiresome. America, and particularly this little slice of California, fell out of love with them.”
Despite that, the former “Suits” alum is putting a lot of effort into making her brand work and expanding it. The brand was initially named American Riviera Orchard, inspired by the Santa Barbara area where they live. It was later renamed As Ever.
Now that Meghan is back in the UK, she will have to work twice as hard to manage her business. California and the UK are several hours apart. Hence, to manage the business while she is in the UK but still has business and staff in California, she has to arrange calls around two different time zones.
The source added, “Work calls and conversations with people dealing with their house have to be squeezed into awkward windows, adding another logistical headache.” Now that they are back, it would be interesting to see how the Duchess balances her commitments between the UK and the US.
