Marvel Studios has two Avengers films coming up in 2026. One will be Avengers Endgame: Encore, which includes additional footage that ties the film directly to Avengers: Doomsday. The latter will arrive in theatres on December 18, 2026. Marketing for both of these projects seems to be gearing up.
Reports have also emerged about a Spider-Man project that fans have been looking forward to. A trailer for the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man could arrive as soon as next month, during Marvel’s panel at NYCC. Similarly, an Encore update could be expected later in this month.
Avengers: Doomsday drops 100-day countdown teaser trailer
Avengers: Doomsday is officially 100 days away. To highlight this milestone, Marvel Studios released another look at what fans can expect 100 days hence. The highlight footage includes Thor clashing with Doom, plus some extended cuts of the villain’s scenes that have already appeared in other teasers.
Recent Doomsday news has had fans concerned about the film’s content. The Russo Brothers revealed they went into production without a finished script. This might be identical to Marvel’s approach with its Phase One films, but it has seemingly not been a winning formula for the studio. This was most evident in Captain America: Brave New World, which also went into production with an unfinished script.
Notably, Avengers: Secret Wars will reset the MCU. The directors, who have directed some of the most successful features that the MCU has had to offer, stated that Doomsday would be “a profound shift” for the MCU. It will be seeing the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men share the live-action space for the first time in cinematic history.
