Taylor Swift has reportedly paid a sweet tribute to Dolly Parton after her death. The legendary musician passed away on August 25 at the age of 80 following a brief battle with cancer. Many celebrities offered their tributes to the icon. This included Swift, who could not stop praising Parton’s powerful personality, aside from her talent.

In her statement to Page Six, Taylor Swift expressed her admiration for Dolly Parton following her tragic demise. “A world without Dolly doesn’t feel possible, real, or right,” the “Blank Space” hitmaker noted. She said Parton’s “legacy will be an everlasting one” due to “the eternally generous way she spent her time on this earth and the countless lives she changed for the better.” Further, she described the “I Will Always Love You” singer as “the gift that kept on giving.”

Swift continued, “Dolly gave us someone to look up to while encouraging us to be who we are as individuals.” She shared Parton gave everyone “her lessons about the world gently and honestly, simultaneously, and oftentimes hilariously.” The Grammy-Award winning singer added, “She managed to give the world the ultimate mystery and fantasy in some corners of her life, but to give full transparency in the ways that counted.”

Swift also praised Parton for being the “true grace and true grit, all in one dazzling person.” Moreover, she claimed the country musician “possessed the softest heart when it came to the struggles of others.” Additionally, Swift claimed Parton had “a backbone of steel to defend her own self worth as an artist.” The 36-year-old continued, “Along with her other fans, I am so grateful for all of it.” Swift added that she was grateful, “For the melodies and lyrics she wrote that thawed even the coldest hearts.”

Further, the pop star addressed “the millions of books” Parton provided children all around the world, “so that they might fall in love with stories the way she did.” Swift also noted “the tightropes” walked by the legend so that young girls can draw strength and inspiration from her. The pop icon concluded, “Dolly, I’ll think of you each step of the way.”
