Sean “Diddy” Combs’ camp has reportedly denied allegations connecting him to Tupac Shakur’s 1996 killing. The response followed courtroom testimony that revived long-running claims involving the music mogul.
Diddy’s representatives reportedly called the allegations “bogus” and rejected claims that he arranged the shooting. The allegations surfaced during testimony connected to Duane “Keefe D” Davis and the Tupac murder case.
Diddy’s representatives call the alleged Tupac murder connection ‘bogus’ after explosive testimony
TMZ reported that former LAPD detective Daryn Dupree delivered the testimony during the Tupac murder trial. Dupree had previously interviewed Davis while investigating Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace’s 1997 murder.
According to the testimony, Davis denied involvement in Biggie’s killing. However, Dupree said Davis shared information about Tupac’s 1996 shooting. The former detective testified that Davis made serious allegations involving Combs. Davis allegedly claimed Diddy had arranged a payment connected to Tupac’s murder.
Dupree said Davis allegedly expected money through an associate named Zip. The money supposedly came from Diddy before moving through the intermediary.
However, sources close to Combs strongly disputed the claims. They insisted Diddy played no role in Tupac’s murder.
“Diddy had absolutely nothing to do with the Tupac murder,” the sources said. “He did not pull the trigger or set it up.”
The sources also dismissed the possibility of Combs becoming useful to prosecutors. “It would be a waste of time if prosecutors ever called him as a witness.”
Dupree also testified about an alleged conversation at Greenblatt’s Deli in Los Angeles. Davis reportedly claimed that Diddy solicited Tupac’s murder during that meeting. The testimony also centered on an alleged payment that never reached Davis. Dupree said Davis wanted to discuss the missing money with the alleged intermediary.
The claims marked another dramatic turn in the Tupac case. However, the courtroom testimony did not establish that Diddy participated in the killing. Combs’ camp quickly rejected the allegations.
